Ava Marie “Cool-Ca-Ya” Coriz continues her ancestors’ long-lived tradition of jewelry making.  She began her work with raw nuggets at the age of 14 and later learned silver work.  Coriz is known for her hand strung and hand ground beaded necklaces.  Her knowledge of stones and silver helps her create fine beaded necklaces.
