The Cameron Trading Post Gallery's collection of fine antique and historic Native American and Western art is ever growing and changing. We specialize in collectible antique tribal art of the Plains and the Southwest including antique and historic Navajo blankets and rugs, Apache and Pima basketry, Plains Beadwork, and historic Pueblo pottery.
Our collection of Southwestern Indian art is of museum quality and caters to collectors, experts in interior Southwest décor, and those who simply appreciate Native American historic art. Navajo weavings include Navajo blankets from the classic, post-classic, and trading post eras. Our American Indian basket collection includes ollas and trays primarily of the Pima and Apache tribes, but also Navajo, Havasupai near the Grand Canyon, Yavapai, Hualapai, Tohono O’odham, and historic Hopi Indian baskets. Native American Indian Tribal beadwork of the Plains represents but is not limited to the Cheyenne, Lakota Sioux, Yakima, Great Lakes, Crow, Kiowa, and Apache. Highlights are beaded items of native dress, moccasins, exquisite pipe bags, tipi bags, a beautiful soft cradle, a bandolier and much more. We carry historic Pueblo Indian pottery and some prehistoric pieces and represent such names as Nampeyo of the Hopi, Maria Martinez of San Ildefonso, Margaret Tafoya of Santa Clara, and Lucy Lewis of Acoma. Our collection also includes some of the cowboy trappings of the old Southwest such as turn of the century bridles, spurs, and other unique and interesting items. We hope you will enjoy browsing some of the collection online. Please be sure to contact us with any questions.
