This is a Beautiful Polychrome basket by an unknown Tohono O' Odham weaver. The basket is woven in the shape of a bowl and features a star design (somewhat similar to a squash blossom design, the sides have frets). This basket is woven from bleached split yucca, devil's claw, yucca root (red) and has an inner coil of bear grass. This basket is dated around CA 1970 once again showing the weaver's abilities to create unique designs. This tightly woven basket measures 10 1/4" diameter x 3 1/2" deep.
