Crucita Gonzales (Blue Corn) made pottery from 1923-1995. Gonzales is the adopted daughter of Ramona Sanchez Gonzales and Juan Gonzales and is married to Santiago Calabaza. Blue Corn is known for her polychrome-on-cream, red-on-red, black-on-black jars, bowls, plates, wedding vases, oval blackware lidded boxes and black-on-black owl figures. This is a one of a kind item which has been hand-coiled and hand-painted with the feather design which revolves around the center of this pot. 5" x 4 1/2"
