HOPI HAND MADE VASE - HP173
View Details
By Hopi artist, Preston Duwyenie. Hand formed vase using the coil method. Pots created in this traditional style are hand coiled, hand polished, hand slipped, and hand fired. Preston's work takes a marked diversion from the traditional Hopi style. The use of micaceous clay creates a vessel of striking beauty. His trademark use of a sterling silver inlaid panel sets his work apart. The completion of this pot from beginning to finish represents many, many hours of painstaking craftsmanship and artistry. Approximately 3 1/4 inches high and 8 inches wide. ONE ONLY!
