This is a Santo Domingo necklace made by artist Christopher Nieto. This necklace is inlaid with purple spiny oyster shell, serpentine,turquoise, mother of pearl and jet. The necklace measures 18" inches from end to end and has a total of 5 strands. Each stone is hand cut to fit the necklace which is a masterful achievement. Before the turn of century the Santo Domingo people traded materials/goods for the valuable shells used in their jewelry. ONE ONLY!
