This beautiful art form has risen in the last 15 years using a pre-molded vessel and painting them in beautiful graduating and complimentary pastel colours. These Navajo pottery pieces are then etched by hand on fine symbolic and geometric designs to create a unique and beautiful style of Navajo pottery. Some Navajo artists, such as Bob Lansing, have taken this technique to outrageously artistic and detailed levels creating true masterpieces in Navajo pottery art. The Navajos and thier art are nothing if not innovative. New firing techniques using horse hair have added another dimension to the Navajo hand crafted pottery art.
