This is a Concho belt by Navajo artist Rick Martinez. This belt is made in the Old-style, a style that is very much inspired by Mexican Silversmithing techniques. A belt like this would most likely be identified as a "first phase" concho belt; The "open" loops and small buckle are characteristics of early concho belts. This belt has some interesting conchos that are stamped only on the edges. The aritst also oxidized the silver to give it a dull silver (anitique) finish. This belt has 10 conchos (that measure 2 3/4" x 3 1/4"), the belt measures 54" inches from end to end. One of a kind
