Who has not been haunted by the unique and beautiful melodies of the Native American flute? This ancient instrument has most recently been brought into the world of contemporary music and composition by such musical artists as R. Carlos Nakai, Mary Youngblood, Douglas Spotted Eagle and many other talented artists. The flutes we offer here are made by High Spirits. While several artists may be involved in creating these flutes, we want to note that they are NOT NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN HANDMADE as specified by the laws of the U.S. Government. High Spirits flutes, however, are often chosen by Native American musicians as their instrument. Each High Spirits flute is created from a single piece of wood; either cedar, walnut, birch, or mahogany. Each flute is portrayed with an animal fetish and carved decoration and is available in various sizes and keys. Each flute also includes an instructional booklet and CD as well as fingering charts.
