Helen Cordero Antique Cochiti Storyteller Doll

Storyteller with one baby on her back. From Cochiti Pueblo, Helen Cordero was the first Pueblo artisan to make a "Storyteller" inspired by the storytelling skills of her grandfather, Santiago Quintana. Her idea caught on quickly and soon many of her family and pottery artists from Cochiti and other pueblos began making their own style of storyteller.

Condition: Very good condition. Small crack at left arm and into the blanket. A small chip at the left toe.
