This elegant Acoma vase was handmade by L.Joe. This wedding vase has a stylized parrot as it's centerpiece along with many detailed designs. The wedding vase is a part of Pueblo life and culture. The two spouts represent the separate lives of the bride and groom, and they become united by the bridge at the top. During the wedding ceremony, the wedding vase is filled with holy water and given to the bride and groom. The bride drinks from one side and the groom drinks from the other. This ceremony represents exchanging of wedding bands.
