    He was 11 years old when the family car broke down right outside the trading post.  What a place for a car to give out-red sand, steady wind and a sweltering sun.  It was 1979.  For an 11-year-old boy the trading post was anything but a playground.  The crew at the trading post used what they had to entertain this broken down traveler, their stories and their talent, which on this particular day included a drawing of an Indian Chief.  Thirty-three years later we received an email from this little boy, now a man known to us only as Derek.  He still has the drawing and fond memories of the trading post.
