Hopi Handmade Wicker Plaque
Hopi handmade wicker plaque by an unknown artist. Hopi basketry is both used ceremonially and sold as an art form. Woven today much the same as it might have been centuries ago, the tools used are a knife, an awl, and the hands of the weaver. This beautiful basket is embellished with numerous colors and an oval shape in the center. There is an area where the coil on the rim of the basket is damaged.
