Navajo Handwoven Teec Nos Pos Rug
Navajo handwoven Teec Nos Pos rug by Luci Kee. Teec Nos Pos area rugs are known for their striking patterns and wide borders encompassing geometric designs. Almost Persian in the feel due to its complexity of the design which was mostly the influence of traders in the late 19th century. This particular rug is woven with commercially dyed wool which the weaver has re-washed and re-spun. Teec Nos Pos in the Navajo language means "Circle of Trees". This rug is decorated with a single column of serrated diamonds in the center outlined with serrated patterns.
