Navajo handwoven Chief Revival rug by Pricilla Johnson. Chiefs blankets are more distinguished by its square shape which originally started out as a plain design of stripes. The blankets were traded mostly to either the plains indians or to the pueblo's. This particular rug is embellished with stepped patterns and lines. The weaver used commercially dyed wool. This is a one of a kind item and is 24 1/2" x 19".
