Navajo Handwoven Chief Revival Rug
Navajo handwoven Chief Revival rug by Bessie Yazzie . Chiefs blankets are more distinguished by its square shape which originally started out as a plain design of stripes. The blankets were traded mostly to either the Plains Indians or to the Pueblo's. This particular rug has a blue and grey colored background with crosses, stepped designs, and stripes. The wool used is commercially dyed.
