Navajo handwoven Teec Nos Pos w/ Burntwater rug woven by Helen Bia. Teec Nos Pos area rugs are known for their striking patterns and wide borders encompassing geometric designs. Almost Persian in the feel due to its complexity of the design which was mostly the influence of traders in the late 19th century. Burntwater rug feature a combination of the design elements of Ganado and Two Grey Hills with earth-toned vegetal-dyed colors. This particular rug is woven with commercially dyed wool which the weaver has re-washed and re-spun. Teec Nos Pos in the Navajo language means "Circle of Trees".
