D323 - Santo Domingo Deer Pot

This Santo Domingo pot Ca. 1960's. This Santo Doming pot has a deer and a couple geometric design painted with natural pigment colors of red and black on a white colored background. Most Santo Domingo pottery is made using the coil method and the potters usually have to dig for the clay that they are going to use. This piece of pottery has some water damage and minor scratches on some parts of the pot. This piece is unsigned. The pot measures 6 1/2" tall by 7 3/4" wide diameter. One of a kind item.
